welcome
sup, welcome, wipe your feet before entering.

This site is meant to serve as guidance for anyone who wants to learn about the fifth generation honda civic, specifically the 2 door coupe. I plan on writing how-to guides, compiling all sorts of technical info from forums, and providing resources for further reading.

I also plan on showcasing my build progress, everything I do on my car, and using the site as a record for myself as well (ex, oil change intervals, tire rotation reminders, etc). I probably won't list every little thing but rather post photos as I go along.

Feel free to get in contact with me if you have any questions or need any help with your civic mods/ repairs. I am not a professional mechanic, but an enthusiast with a wrench and open mind. I will try to do my best to help.

status update: 80% there
About 4 months ago, the ol' gal suffered rear quarter panel damage due to an incident (which may have been my fault if you ask my insurance), causing the rear trailing arms and lower control arms to bend. This gave the left wheel some toe out and the right wheel some toe in, and made my steering wheel off center. Forst day of my new job too, and I was still early for work (kind of proud on that one).

Replaced the rear trailing arms not too long ago, finally swapped the transmission over (got it done in a day and a half!), and changed out both axles. Running Valvoline Synchromesh MTF in the transmission now.

Next up is dealing with the rear wheel hubs (constant whirring noise, yikes). Waiting on some brake cables and stainless steel braided lines to get the rear disc swap finished. Should be straight forward once parts arrive.

After the drivability repairs are finished, I'll try to beat the snot out of the quarter panel back into shape, and I guess I'll learn how to use Bondo nody filler.
what's next / notes
Keeping the checklist simple:
- Next oil change due in ~7k miles
- Wiper blades need replacing
- Need to burn a new mp3 cd, current 7 albums are getting old

Still waiting on parts for the rear brakes/ rear hubs but shouldn't be too crazy. Might do a writeup on the swap once I get the hardware in hand.
